go!go!vanillas – "THE WALL"
Directed by hamaiba of GROUPN, premiering right on "Vanilla Day" — the band's own August 20 anniversary — "THE WALL" is built around one relentless image: the members climbing an endless staircase toward a wall they built themselves. It's described as a summer rock anthem about the walls we put up in our own way, and the video takes that literally without ever feeling like a gimmick. Watch the members' expressions shift as the climb wears on. That's the whole story right there.
OTYKEN – "NET"
Otyken keep doing what they do best — folk-rock out of Siberia that sounds like nothing else charting right now. "NET" leans into the band's signature aesthetic: rain, muted color grading, and the kind of raw, elemental performance energy that's made them a genuine internet phenomenon over the past few years. No confirmed director credit on this one yet, but the visual language is unmistakably theirs.
Curtain Blue – "Yeh Duniya"
Found this one through a Homegrown feature and went down a rabbit hole. Curtain Blue talks candidly about analogue gear, Radiohead, and dholaks as the reference points behind "Yeh Duniya," and that mix is exactly what comes through in the track — a genuinely interesting fusion of vintage recording texture and traditional Indian percussion. I don't have full visual details locked down on the video yet, but the sonic world alone made this worth flagging.
Carly Rae Jepsen – "Motivation"
Directed by Caio Viera and shot in Paris, "Motivation" is the most personal video Jepsen has put out in years. It stars Gigi Goode, and it closes on something Jepsen has never shown before: a glimpse of her newborn child, born earlier this year. The song itself digs into inherited family patterns and the work of defining yourself outside of them, and the Paris backdrop gives the whole thing a wistful, reflective distance that suits the subject matter perfectly.
Against The Gravity – "REVEALED"
An older one, but new to me — submitted to the library this week by director Lynn Thant Naing, who made the video himself. Sometimes the best discoveries aren't the freshest releases, they're the ones sitting a few years back that nobody put in front of you yet. This is exactly why the submission form exists.
