Romain Gavras just turned a futuristic British boarding school into a feral dystopia for Gener8ion and Yung Lean’s 'Storm.'

The seven-and-a-half-minute video plays out like a modern version of Lord of the Flies. Gavras tracks Yung Lean as the leader of a school completely devoid of adults. Instead of relying on digital effects, the crew builds tension through continuous, visceral camera motion that eventually erupts into a massive practical dance sequence. It is exactly the kind of cinematic chaos we expect from the director behind M.I.A.'s 'Bad Girls' and Jamie xx's 'Gosh'.

Other Information:

Gener8ion is the electronic moniker for French dance producer Surkin.

Yung Lean is also making his acting debut in Romain Gavras's upcoming feature film Sacrifice alongside Charli XCX and Anya Taylor-Joy.

The release features two distinct tracks, 'Storm I' and 'Storm II,' merged into one continuous cinematic visual.
