MVG Library ("the app", "the site") is a reference database of music videos published by The Music Video Guy. This page explains what data the app collects and why.

What we collect

• Usage analytics (Google Analytics). Standard, aggregated traffic data — pages viewed, approximate location, device type — used to understand how the library is used. No personal profile is built from this.
• Google Sign-In (optional). If you choose to sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google, used only to identify your account within the app.
• Favorites & Recently Viewed. Saved locally on your device by default. If you're signed in, the same data is also stored in our database (Firebase/Firestore) tied to your account, so it can sync across your devices.
• Submission form. If you submit a music video for consideration, the details you enter (artist, song, credits, your email) are sent to a private spreadsheet for review before anything is published.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share your sign-in information with third parties beyond Google (the sign-in provider itself) and Firebase (our database provider). We don't track you across other websites or apps.

Your choices

You can use the app fully without signing in — browsing, searching, and TV Mode all work signed-out. Favorites/Recently Viewed history saved on your device can be cleared anytime from the app's Settings menu. If you're signed in, contact us to request deletion of your account data.
