Aerosmith
Directed by Marty Callner, "Cryin'" won Video of the Year and Viewer's Choice at the 1994 VMAs — only the second video in VMA history to sweep both awards. Callner cast an unknown 16-year-old Alicia Silverstone after seeing her in the thriller The Crush; in the video she catches her boyfriend cheating, punches him, shoves him out of his own convertible, gets a tattoo and a navel piercing, chases down a purse thief, and ends the video dangling from a hidden bungee cord over a freeway giving her ex the finger. The casting launched Silverstone's career — Amy Heckerling cast her in Clueless because of the Aerosmith video trilogy.
