Macklemore
The incredible aerial shots in Macklemore's "Can't Hold Us" weren't filmed with drones. The video was made before camera drones existed, so director Jason Koenig used helicopters, sea planes, and even a cameraman strapped to the side of a speeding van to get those epic, sweeping shots. The pirate ship, the Lady Washington, is a real non-profit vessel used for kids' field trips. It was also featured in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Ryan Lewis composed three minutes of new, original music just for the intro and outro of the 7-minute music video version. The trumpet player riding the camel is Owuor Arunga, who performed on the album. The entire brass section on the rooftop were all alumni from Macklemore's high school.
