The 2005 clip for OK Go's "A Million Ways" was an accidental game-changer. Choreographed by director Trish Sie (the lead singer's sister), the video was simply a low-budget recording of the band practicing a dance routine in a backyard. It was never intended for public release, but after being shared via email, it became one of the first true music videos to go viral in the pre-YouTube era. This single-take, DIY project established the creative formula that would lead to their famous treadmill video and define their entire career.
