TLC
Creep was directed by a 24-year-old F. Gary Gray — who had directed TLC's "Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg" the previous year and went on to make Friday, Set It Off, Straight Outta Compton, and The Fate of the Furious. TLC in oversized clothes, Left Eye in her signature glasses, the whole video built around a cool that felt completely effortless. It hit number one on the R&B chart in December 1994 and became the bridge between CrazySexyCool and TLC's full commercial dominance.
