Weezer
Spike Jonze used a mix of physical set replicas and digital compositing to place Weezer inside the world of Happy Days, matching the lighting and film grain of a 1970s sitcom frame by frame. Microsoft bundled the video on the Windows 95 disc (in the FUNSTUFF\VIDEOS folder) alongside Edie Brickell's "Good Times" to showcase the operating system's multimedia capabilities — a tech demo that became one of the most famous music videos of all time. The shoot took just one day at Charlie Chaplin Studios in Hollywood, with actual Weezer fans as extras.
