White Stripes
The White Stripes' "The Hardest Button to Button" is a quintessential example of practical, in-camera animation. Directed by Michel Gondry, the video uses a stop-motion technique called pixelation, where the band and their instruments were moved and photographed frame by frame. The multiplying effect was achieved with 32 real drum kits, not CGI, perfectly visualizing the song's raw, percussive rhythm.
